After a day of grocery shopping, dr.'s appointments, and getting the kids off to the grandparents house; I finally have time to post my first
My DIY Obsession
I have seen a lot of frame wreaths on Pinterest, so here is my take on the idea for the 4th of July. I used a simply brushed silver 8x10 frame I had lying around, these great star silver colored baking molds my Hubby and I found at an antique shop about fifteen years ago (we never used them), and a plaid blue, red, and white wired ribbon for a bow. Tied it all up with natural twine and stuck it to the front door with a large suction cup. I did have to drill a hole in each star mold I used a 3/32 drill bit to achieve the right size for the twine to thread through easily and double knotted it.
Then I tied the three stars at different lengths to the cool little hanger on the back of the frame made my bow and tied it around the frame at the top.
After it was all tied just right, I stuck the large suction cup to the window and hung it on the hanger on the frame and DONE.
Hope you enjoyed!
Happy 24 on the 4th
Jill
P.S. send me any pictures of ones you have made I'll post them!
