Fabric & Ribbon Headband

You'll need to start with:
2 - 14 1/2" long strips of 1 1/2" wide fabric
2 - 14 1/2" long strips of 5/8" wide ribbon

Sandwich 1 piece of ribbon between 2 pieces of fabric with right sides together.
Ribbon should be in the center of the fabric.

Pin ribbon to both pieces of fabric on one short side (top).
Then pin the ribbon down the middle of the fabric piece to keep in place.

Set the needle to the far right position.
This will make it much easier to have a narrow seam.

Sew up right side, across top and down left side with about a 1/4 to 3/8" seam.

When finished clip the corners at the top.
You should have something that looks like this.

Start pulling the ribbon thur the open end.
Pull all the way until the fabric is right side out now.

I used a saftey pin to pull out the corners.
Nice and square.

At the open end fold in about 1/2" of farbic.

Then iron the fabric. It should look like this.

Insert the 2nd piece of ribbon into the open end about a 1/2".
Then sew together.

Wa La!!!! You are finished.
And so am I!!!!
